Buy a studio or dorm in the Netherlands
Become the owner of your own studio, including a shower. Starting from just €374.58* interest per month.

A student room quickly costs €650 per month in rent, gas, water, and electricity, which amounts to over €31,000 in 4 years. Additionally, the quality is often low, and the kitchen and bathroom are shared.
Furthermore, it is incredibly difficult to find a room due to the limited supply, and the quality often leaves much to be desired.
By purchasing a student room, for example, using the surplus value on the mortgage of parents or acquaintances, you can build wealth and simultaneously live comfortably during your student years in a pleasant student house, but with all modern conveniences!
Based on a purchase price of €145,000 and a 3.1% interest rate.

Living with like-minded people is one of our core values. In regular student housing, it often happens that you share common areas with people you would rather not live with.
Through our Smart Living Concept, we always ensure there is a connection between housemates. Co-residents have a say in this, so you will always live with like-minded people. This way, you not only have a living space but also an immediate social network in the city where you will be studying!
Completely renovated, fully equipped
Our studios have been completely renovated and equipped with all modern conveniences, so you get the most out of your living space. See one of the transformations here.

Independent, but not alone
The challenges of finding a student room
When it comes to a student room, the most obvious option is obviously to rent it. However, supply is very limited and finding a student room is harder than ever.
Hosting evenings with dozens of other interested parties makes it extremely difficult to get a room. Competition is cut-throat and the chances of their child being picked out are slim. This leads to stress and uncertainty, both for the students and their parents.
Many student rooms suffer from overdue maintenance, which can result in an uncomfortable and sometimes even unsafe living environment.
Issues such as leaks, poor insulation and non-functioning heating systems are common.
Due to the shortage of student rooms, the rent of student rooms has risen sharply. In big cities, room rental licences are rarely issued and thus the supply decreases every year, creating upward pressure on the student room market.
In traditional student houses, where kitchens and showers are often shared, there is often poor hygiene.
Especially in winter, energy consumption can be substantial in poorly insulated homes.

Frequently asked questions
We offer professionally renovated and stylishly furnished student rooms in major student cities such as Amsterdam, Utrecht and Groningen. Each room comes with high-speed internet, comfortable study areas and fully equipped kitchens and bathrooms.
A student room can be bought at StudentenKamerKopen.nl from €115,000. In terms of interest costs, this would then be €297 per month. Cheaper than a student room, in other words!
Student rooms are more difficult to finance with traditional mortgage lenders. They often choose to take out a mortgage from a 3rd party, borrow from a private limited company or finance with the excess value on their own mortgage.
This varies depending on the situation. One popular way is for parents to tap the excess value of their home, their savings or their limited company (BV) and put the student room in son or daughter's name. This way, your son or daughter builds up equity, can claim mortgage interest relief and, in many cases, does not have to pay 2% transfer tax.
To limit the pressure on your son or daughter, you can also choose to provide a repayment-free mortgage.
It is mandatory to charge a market-based interest rate, but you can, however, exercise your right to donate money to accommodate your son or daughter.
Of course, students in question can also look for private investors themselves.
